At Locomotive Station we love home style South African and Australian nostalgic food, curry, cocktails and share plates. As a licensed coffee shop we offer a range of cocktails, wines and liqueurs along with food to satisfy.

Stack Train, our grazing plate of two cheeses, hummus, marinated olives, pickles and crispy Jesus bread.

We invite you to explore what we have to offer and suggest you try some of our house specialities including our:

Koeksisters – a South African (Cape Malay style) yeast doughnut served warm in a sugar and cinnamon syrup and sprinkled with coconut.

Bunny Pies – a hot filling in a bread case. Like a pie but also a toastie.

New And Nostalgic Treats – From old fashioned bread and butter pudding, custard tarts and scones to vegan cupcakes, cheesecake made with in house fresh ricotta there is usually something for everyone. 

Local Produce – We value using local produce and proudly serve Steinbok schnapps and liqueurs from Somersby and Westray Oysters delivered to us fresh from our Brisbane Waters.

House Made Goods – Wherever we can we aim to make our own in-house ingredients and delights including; marshmallow, chocolate powder, vanilla syrup, marinated olives and artisan pickles.

Cocktails – We proudly offer a range of carefully designed cocktails   using our parent company Cocktails For Mums recipes.

And importantly

Good coffee – At Locomotive Station you’ll get good coffee. We’d like to take credit for this but, no. Most of what happens in your cup is the result of our roasters, their obsession with their craft and commitment to people like us.
